Shane Wheatcroft is an artist from Kent, England, whose work is often a collage of bold printed sayings to the use of advertising slogans and outdated headlines that poke fun at social conventions, making extensive use of magazines, books and images from the 1945-1970s in his work.
Wheatcroft says: "The main portrait sets the tone for my work background images, furniture and people are pasted on top of these additional elements form an abstract representation of a human face, often characterised by a constant painful eye gaze through a television set or a frame on a wall. of a chair or an image of a suitable person. It's a bit like making a jigsaw puzzle and looking for the missing pieces.
In his process he starts with an image that appeals to him and then adds random pieces until an idea comes up to add more flat pieces, so I followed his method of putting up a large one first and then adding smaller ones, I think this method makes this kind of piece less fragmented.
